Keeley'n Spotlight: Tim Eagan

Our Civil Infrastructure team is made up of talented Keeley’ns that share a common goal – exceed expectations on every project for every customer. Tim Eagan, Project Director, leads his projects with a passion for excellence without compromising quality and safety. As the Civil Infrastructure group continues to grow across the nation, this laser focus is needed to help them achieve their vision.

Tim joined the Keeley family in April 2021 and his journey to Keeley is one that truly makes him proud to be a Keeley’n. Tim’s wife, Melissa, is a volunteer for World Pediatric, an organization that is near and dear to Keeley’s heart. Tim & Melissa attended their annual Rock & Heal event and Tim was able to witness the generosity of Keeley Construction and their passion for giving back to the community. At the time, he was working for the US Army Corps of Engineers and was looking to pursue a career in private construction. A couple of years later, Tim started tracking the Olive Crossing development in hopes of getting his previous company involved with the future construction of the project. Fast forward to April 2021 and an opportunity arose with Keeley’s Civil Infrastructure group. Tim jumped at the chance to join Keeley and got assigned his first project – construction of the soldier pile lag and pile wall at Olive Crossing. This was such a full circle moment for Tim and since then, his leaders and his team have allowed him to feel empowered in everything he does.

“As a company, I have experience firsthand just how Keeley empowers their team members regardless of tenure or position. Personally, I have been involved in the direction of the Infrastructure group from the standpoint of which markets / clients we would like to pursue, down to identifying projects to bid on. I truly am more than just a number at Keeley.”

Tim tried other careers, but naturally came back to what he knew best. Having grown up in a Proud Union home with his father and grandfather both serving as 527 Cement Masons, Tim knew he wanted to be part of the construction industry. The complexity, the challenges, and the chaos this industry brings is incredibly rewarding, especially since Tim is able to see all the hard work culminate in a project that would have never been possible without the outstanding team he has by his side. Tim has loved every second of his construction career, so if he could give a piece of advice to those just starting out, it would be:

“Learn to be uncomfortable. Construction is hard and oftentimes, hard conversations must be had to move forward. Open, honest, and direct conversations lead to success. Also, I’ve learned that the smartest person in the room is often the quiet person sitting in the back taking it all in. Don’t overlook anyone. Engaging all team members leads to well-rounded decision making.”

Tim is incredibly grateful to have found his way to Keeley and be part of a forward-thinking organization that focuses on safety and providing team members the resources they need to grow and learn every single day.

“The Keeley family has a goal – to build a company where each team member has the opportunity to reach great career heights while also giving back to our communities across the nation. Egos are left at the door and the Keeley spirit is handed out instead. It’s inspiring to work in an environment where everyone is looking out for each other.”

Tim, thank you for your positivity and dedication to growing the Civil Infrastructure team. Your fresh perspectives, passion for safety, and PRIDE in being a Keeley’n will truly help us to grow to new heights.
