Keeley Building Spotlight: Marlowe

Keeley Construction is proud to have partnered with Keeley Properties to bring a new, state-of-the-art, luxury apartment complex to the Central West End. Marlowe is a seven-story multifamily residence with 205 units ranging from new micro-units and studios to two-bedrooms. The development offers a full suite of amenities, including a hearth room, curated gallery wall, club lounge, pool terrace, outdoor grilling island, fitness studio, yoga studio, golfing green, and a first of its kind flex office mezzanine. The Keeley Construction and Keeley Properties team have worked closely, bringing this project out of the ground in September 2020 through to completion.

The Keeley Team recognized the need for a new apartment complex in the St. Louis area and chose the Central West End because of its proximity to the BJC Healthcare campus and numerous amenities the area has to offer – businesses, fitness studios, bars, restaurants, and lounges. The Team wanted to provide a high-quality place to live while also tailoring to the ever-changing needs of our people, which presents its own set of challenges, especially during a pandemic. However, the Keeley Construction Team decided to look at these challenges as opportunities; opportunities to grow, exceed expectations, and enhance safety measures.

The normalcy of ‘Build a Schedule Build a Project’ is out the window when dealing with supply chain and manpower constraints. The Keeley Team spent a great deal of time collaborating and finding innovative ways to navigate these major procurement delays. We strengthened our relationships with our subcontractors by communicating effectively, gaining their trust and resources in order to deliver alternate materials and schedule work. This allowed us to get creative and open up to new and even better ways to get the job done on future projects.”
