The Paving Group is at the heart of what we do, since the day Larry Keeley set up his first trailer in 1976 in Sauget, IL. Growing from that first trailer to a nationwide Paving company with over 200+ team members in almost every state, the Paving Group is taking advantage of this growth and savoring every moment. With the Keeley mission as their guide, the Paving Group puts an unmatched emphasis on being a customer-centric partner. With their customers at the forefront of their minds every single day, they have been able to grow to new heights at an exponential rate. This attitude and culture has also led to an incredibly high customer retention rate year over year, bringing about new relationships and strengthening existing relationships, all while exceeding expectations in the following areas:

Keeley Paving has two regional offices outside of the St. Louis headquarters – one in Phoenix, AZ and one in New Braunfels, TX. These offices are flourishing and expanding our national reach to customers in the west and in the south. As the group continues to work towards a more regional organizational model, the team will be able to stretch even farther, serving customers in every corner of the nation. In 2022, the team also worked on one of their largest projects to date – an ADA program for a long-time, trusted customer and one of the largest big box retailers. This program was led by Brian Waeckerle and his team and is a program that touched everyone in the Paving Group in some way. The team completed over 170 projects within this program across the nation, strengthening their relationship with the customers and setting up opportunities for even more work in 2023.

Keeley Construction Industrial Group Partners with IKO

Keeley Construction’s Industrial Group is proud to partner with IKO on the construction of a new crushing and coloring plant, supporting the company’s continued growth through a complex, full-scope industrial build. The project includes the construction of multiple buildings, the installation of all equipment & conveyors, and complete site utility work. This project will be delivered on an aggressive 18-month schedule. Keeley’s integrated self-perform teams will execute the work, with the Civil Group handling all civil and concrete scopes and the Steel Erection and Millwright teams leading building erection and equipment installation. “We’re proud to support IKO’s first shingle granular plant in the U.S. and look forward to building a strong, lasting partnership,” said John Herrin, Vice President at Keeley Construction. “Being selected by IKO for this project is a testament to our Industrial Group’s expertise and our ability to safely and efficiently deliver complex industrial work.” IKO emphasized the importance of selecting a trusted partner for this milestone project. “When selecting a contractor for the construction of the Bismarck Granule plant, our team performed a thorough analysis looking for a responsive partner who would be able to successfully execute the project,” said Helen Pejnovich, Regional Manufacturing Director at IKO. “We selected Keeley based on their capability and reputation in the St. Louis area. The fact that both companies are family owned and share values really validated we were making the right decision in choosing Keeley for this important venture for our U.S. operations.” This initial project marks the start of a new partnership with IKO and reflects a shared commitment to safety, coordination, and execution excellence.
