The Southside Marine Improvements Phase 2 project for the Port of Corpus Christi involved the renovation and enhancement of an existing waterfront property to support the Port’s police and fire departments. As General Contractor, Keeley Construction oversaw site improvements that included the installation of utilities to provide fuel, water, sewage removal, and slop recovery services for police and fire boats. The scope also featured the construction of diesel and slop tanks, containment slabs, and pumping systems extending from land to dockside operations. Keeley self-performed all concrete work, waterline installation, and the installation of a sewage holding tank. Additional site upgrades included high-security fencing with access controls, keypads, and integrated electrical systems. This project marks a significant step in repurposing the Port’s existing facilities to enhance emergency response and marine service capabilities.
