PROJECT STATUS

This 128MW project encompassed large-scale site
preparation and erosion control efforts across a 529-acre
area, requiring significant coordination and sequencing.
The Keeley Civil team was responsible for the installation
of 25,000 linear feet of access roads, 10 construction
entrances, 12 culvert pipes, and 40,000 linear feet of
silt fence. Two structural fill pads were also constructed,
requiring approximately 40,000 cubic yards of imported
material. Additional scope included full-site clearing and
grubbing, as well as laydown yard preparation and final silt
fence removals at project closeout.
The expansive site and persistent wet weather conditions
posed consistent challenges, especially in relation to
soil stability and equipment access. These conditions
reinforced the importance of seasonal planning for dirt
work, highlighting the advantages of scheduling heavy
earthwork activities during drier months when possible to
reduce delays and rework caused by rain-saturated soils.
