The Bowling Green Solar Farm is a 71MW DC project spanning 245 acres, where Keeley Civil Infrastructure served as a subcontractor for the mechanical installation of the solar array. The scope included driving 25,027 piles, installing 12,263 racking row tubes, and setting 102,228 photovoltaic modules. The team also installed 12 inverter foundations utilizing piles and precast panels, constructed 4 meteorological tower foundations, and formed and poured the control house stairs for the substation.
With a peak workforce of 90 craftworkers and over 76,650 labor hours, the project engaged multiple union trades including Carpenters, Operators, Laborers, Ironworkers, and Cement Finishers. Challenges throughout construction included severe weather, poor site drainage, and delays in material delivery due to production issues and defects. Despite these obstacles, the Keeley team maintained strong coordination and execution across the large-scale site, contributing to the successful delivery of renewable energy infrastructure in Missouri.
